Listen to the Interview on Gaterrocks.com
Founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Butch Trucks knows what he wants to play and knows what he want us to experience when we see him playing live. Since the Allman Brothers Band went their separate ways after the 2014 Beacon Theatre run, Butch has been searching for that sound, that visceral feeling that comes from creating something much more than the sum of the parts. He didn’t have to go far from family and friends to put together The Freight Train Band. With son Vaylor Trucks playing a mean guitar, along with reknowned Florida picker Damon Fowler, plus new addition on keys the venerable Bruck Katz, and Sarasota’s own Berry Oakley Jr. on the rock bottom, this band has the talent to take the intensity off the Richter scale. There are 5 Florida dates before 2016 gets here. Don’t miss out!
